Preview Control Panel

The Preview window shows the current status of your timeline. Clicking the Play button in the Preview window will play the timeline for you.

you can set the preview size of current timeline. the smaller size you choose , the faster speed you will preview .

CLips Mode and Timeline Mode:

the output movie panel has two type view.

the "Timeline Mode" 

The timeline is a time scale for your media where all the action takes place. After including your media files into your project, you need to drag them from the Media List into the timeline. Only in the timeline can you give effects to your media clips, edit music clips by the advanced form to set their duration and frame rate and much more.
